Adeline E. "Addie" Wilson, age 92, of West Jefferson, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 22, 2017. She was born February 27, 1924 in Columbus, OH to the late Carrie Lucile Long and Jonathan Long, Sr. She is a 1942 graduate of Central High School, Columbus, OH. She was an active member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where she was involved in many ministries and committees including her favorite, Monday morning Prayer Group. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert A. "Bob" Wilson whom she married January 1, 1949. Although she was born and grew up in the city, she quickly became acquainted with country living since Bob was a full time farmer and resident of Madison County where they spent the next 60 years farming and raising their family. She enjoyed square dancing and camping with her husband. For over 30 years they vacationed in Florida during the winter, staying busy with walks, swimming, biking, and spending time with numerous friends. Adeline is survived by daughters; Carol (Andy) Bichler of West Jefferson, Judy Lowry of Atlanta, GA; son, Robert L. (Ramona) Wilson of West Jefferson; grandchildren, Trisha (Chad) Foulk, Sara (Matt) Neufarth, Amy (Bryan) Warnock, Courtney Lowry, Matt Lowry, Daniel R. (Danielle) Wilson, Adam L. Wilson; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine L. "Kate" Radford of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Elva Williamson; brothers, Jonathan Long Jr., Martin W. Long, Earl L. Long, and Lester R. Long. Family and friends may call Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St. in West Jefferson. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the West Jefferson United Methodist Church, 36 S. Center St. in West Jefferson. Pastor Ruth Pribe officiating. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to the West Jefferson United Methodist Church in her memory.
