Andrew Dale Legg

Andrew Dale Legg, age 79, of West Jefferson, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2018.  Born in Pike County, Ohio to the late Andy Woodrow and Lona Bea Legg, he was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School, Class of 1956 and a veteran of the United States Army.  A former brick mason, Dale was a Lieutenant at the London Correctional Institution for 18 years before his retirement in 1990.  A firm believer in Christ, Dale was an associate pastor at Harvest Chapel Church in West Jefferson and served as Chaplain at Arbors of West Jefferson Nursing Home for 12 years.  In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly S. Legg who passed in 1999.  Dale is survived by his son and daughter-in-aw Troy and Tracy Legg, of West Jefferson, grandchildren Tara Legg and Justin (Kayla) Legg, both of London, OH, great-grandchildren Paisleigh and Chloe Legg, sisters Dorlese Null-Hedges of Columbus and Sandra L. (Wayne) Long of Springfield, OH, sister-in-law Pam Baxter of West Jefferson, niece and nephews: Lynnette Thomas of West Jefferson, Chris Null of Florida, Jeff Null of North Carolina, Eric Brooks of Springfield and Andy Brooks of Springfield, and their families.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. THURSDAY at HARVEST CHURCH OF CHRIST IN CHRISTIAN UNION, 530 West Jefferson-Kiousville Road, SE, West Jefferson, OH 43162 where his Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2018 with Pastor Paul Burgett, officiating.  Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery.  If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517 or on-line www.woundedwarriorproject.org.  The Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 assisted the family.  Please share a favorite memory of Dale on this webpage or send condolences to his family.
