Beverly A. Woodford

Beverly A. Woodford, age 88, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed Monday, December 4, 2023 at Brookdale of Muirfield in Dublin, Ohio. Born in Xenia, Ohio to the late Zebulon and Elizabeth Fisher, Beverly was a graduate of Xenia High School. She attained her Bachelor of Science, Education degree from The Ohio State University and her Masters of Education degree from Ashland University. A life-long educator of children, Beverly retired from Jefferson Local Schools and later served four years on the Board of Education. She was an active member of the Madison County Retired Teachers’ Association. An avid seamstress, she enjoyed upholstery, sewing, and working in her garden. Later in life, Beverly enjoyed her travels with fellow members of the Teacher’s Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Woodford and her son John Woodford.

She is survived by her son Thomas (Jenny) Woodford, her grandchildren: Taylor (Elliot) Woodford Taylor, Paige Woodford and McKayle Woodford.

Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00p.m. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2023 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 2:00p.m. FRIDAY. John Meister will officiate the service with burial to follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH.
