Bille F. Gatrell

Bille F. Gatrell, age 76, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Harriet Gatrell of Hoopeston, IL. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 36 years, Carol Gatrell; daughters, Kim (Eddie) Grantham of Goldsboro, NC, Debra (Donald) Dee of Marysville, OH, Diana Kissner of Magnolia, NC, Julie Gatrell of Pikeville, NC; step-children, David (Kim) Thomas of Galloway, OH, Kathleen (James) Clarkson of London, OH, Terri (Joe) Dodd of Grove City, OH; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Virginia) of Bloomington, IL; sister Bette (Kenny) Schmid of Milford, IL. Bille graduated from Hoopeston High School in Hoopeston, IL, Class of 1957. He retired from Honda of America, East Liberty, Ohio. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lilly Chapel, Ohio, where he served as a trustee and dedicated choir member. Bille enjoyed restoring things that most people would have discarded. Friends and acquaintances sought his advice and expertise in relation to carpentry and restoration.
