Brenda Y. Lightfoot

Brenda Y. Lightfoot, age 67, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away after a two-month battle with COVID on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Jack and Annie Salyer, Brenda was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1971.  She retired from Gates-McDonald and later served as a Deputy Clerk with the Madison County Clerk of Courts Office.  She retired in 2019.  Brenda was an avid Ohio State fan.  She served as a member of the Madison County Republican Central Committee, the Madison County Women’s Republican Committee and also served as a former President of Lifepoint Family Center.  In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law Harfey W. Lightfoot.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Gary A. Lightfoot, son Christopher John Warner, grandchildren: Daniel Warner and Jordan (Dylan) Wholaver, great-granddaughter Ella Grace Wholaver, sister Judith (Paul) Cavinee, brother Jack M. “Chip” (Karen) Salyer, Jr., mother-in-law Betty Mae Lightfoot, brother-in-law David Lightfoot, sister-in-law Patricia Ann (Ronald) Hardin, aunt Karen Salyers and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Family will welcome friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 2021 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.  GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held at 1:30 p.m. on THURSDAY at HAMPTON CEMETERY in West Jefferson.  PLEASE NOTE:  FACIAL COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND AT THE CEMETERY.  SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED.
