Brian A. Zimmerman

Brian A. Zimmerman, age 42, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly after a fall on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  Born in Columbus, OH to Charles and Diane Zimmerman, Brian was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1994.  An avid outdoorsman and gardener, Brian loved to fish and hunt.  He planted his mother's garden every year and grew the finest heirloom tomatoes!  Brian was a devoted Ohio State fan after a brief error in judgment when he cheered for the Maize and Blue.  He was the consummate bartender, mixing excellent cocktails and conversation. He welcomed high-profile entertainers, politicians, and others from all walks of life and made them all feel special.  Brian enjoyed a stellar career in upscale hospitality. His family and friends enjoyed the perks of his career full of delicious food and prime table seating. He worked for over 12 years at Due Amici Restaurant serving as bartender, server and doing everything else that needed done. Previously, Brian worked at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.  Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Kennard & Mary Forrest and Bernice & Leo Zimmerman, his nephew Derek Abel, aunt, and uncle Show Mei & Donald L. Zimmerman and uncle Kenneth Leroy Smith.  Brian is survived by his parents Diane & Charles Zimmerman of West Jefferson, OH, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth Michael & Sherry Chapin, Jr., of Westerville, OH, sister Erin Kathleen Nelson of Cary, NC, brother-in-law Efrain Rivera of Columbus, OH, nephews and niece Gideon and Paul Chapin and Isabella Rivera, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his lovely, caring girlfriend Stacy Thompson, and wonderful roommate Stephen Greenleaf .  Family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00p.m. SUNDAY at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where Funeral Services will be held 11:00a.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 28, 2019.  Friends may also call before the service on Monday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider a memorial contribution be made to Brian's family to assist with funeral expenses and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Please visit www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com to send condolences to Brian's family.
