Chester Cremeens

Chester Lawrence Cremeens, 92, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2015. He was born November 5, 1922 in Mercerville, Ohio to Chester and Nettie (Wallace) Cremeens. Lawrence is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ruby (Nibert) of 69 years, and sons Gary (Sandy), Jerry (Lynn), Dennis (Linda), ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. During WWII, Lawrence served aboard LST 272 of the US Navy from 1944-1946. He earned a purple heart during a conflict at Tinian of the Pacific theater. After the war, Lawrence worked as a foreman at Ranco until his retirement in 1980. He also enjoyed coon hunting and being with his family. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters Lillian, Hilda, Jewel, Mildred, and Doris. Family would like to extend a special thank you to Loving Care Hospice for the care given to Chester. Family will receive friends Tuesday 5-8pm at the Rader McDonald Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 West Main Street West Jefferson, OH 43162 where funeral will be held 11am Wednesday with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Deerfield twp Cemetery London, OH.
