Christyne Ann Eakins

Christyne Ann Eakins, age 69 of West Jefferson, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 27th, 2017. She was a faithful member of Sts. Simon and Jude Church of West Jefferson, Ohio, where she was past President of the Women's Guild and an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist. Chrissy volunteered her time at St. Patrick School of London, Ohio and the Madison County Hospice. In her community she was a member of the Madison County Farm Bureau, West Jefferson Community Association, Ohio History Connection, and the Shawl Sisters. She was a mother to the neighborhood and will be missed by all who loved her deeply. Chrissy was a member of the Madison County Republican Central Committee and past President of the Madison County Republican Women's club. She is preceded in death by her parents Roderick and Frances, sister in-law Anita Rice, and brother in-law Bill Rice.  Chrissy is survived by her loving husband Douglas R. Eakins and their children Julie Frances and Daniel Robert, her brothers Roderick W. Eckle Jr, and Clifford A. Eckle. Chrissy deeply loved her grandchildren Bernadette and Liam. Chrissy is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friends Marg and Mike O'Sullivan. The family will receive friends at Sts. Simon & Jude Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162, Friday December 1, 2017 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Visitation Saturday, December 2, 2017 9-10 AM. Christian Mass at 10 AM with Father Metzger. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in West Jefferson. Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral home 1355 W.
