Clifford Patterson

Clifford Patterson, age 88 of West Jefferson went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was the son of the late Hinkle and Mary Patterson. He was a member of the West Jefferson First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Clifford was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, received a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict.  You could always count on Clifford to brighten your day by singing or humming his favorite tune. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary (Perky) Patterson, sons Sam Patterson SR., and Kenny Patterson Sr., Grandson Sammy Jr., 2 brothers Frances and Charles and sisters Virginia, Isabelle, Eva, Mary Ellen and Olive Jean. Clifford is survived by his grandchildren Kenny (Tara) Patterson, Holly Patterson, Jeff (Taylor) Patterson, Gretchen Hart and George Patterson. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jessie and Anthony Harper, Campbell and Carter Patterson, and Tucker Patterson. Clifford was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him. Family will receive friends Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home 1355 West Main St. West Jefferson, OH. Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church 686 West Jefferson-Kiousville Rd SE, West Jefferson, OH. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation 1 hour prior to funeral service. Burial will follow at the Hampton Cemetery.
