Delbert W. Cook Jr., age 85, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the OSU James Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Born April 26, 1932 in Cooksburg, PA to the late Delbert Sr. and Irene Cook. U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Retired as Assistant Fire Chief after 15 years of service to Jefferson Twp. Fire Department. Owner and Operator of C&C Auto in West Jefferson, OH, since 1958, which included countless years of service to The Ohio State Highway Patrol. Member of St. James Lutheran Church in Columbus, OH. Preceded in death by wife, Esther Cook; and sister, Dolly McCanna. Survived by wife, Shirley Cook; children, Rick (Lori) Cook, Sharon Hermann, Kelly Dugan, and Tyrone (Terri) Dachenhaus; grandchildren, Kyle, Brock, Kevin, Kourteney, Allison, and Baylor; sister, Francis Irwin; beloved buddy, Frosty; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Friends may call Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 12 to 3 p.m. and 5 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main St. in West Jefferson, OH. Pastor John Hood officiating. Graveside viewing and committal service will begin at 2 p.m. at Cooksburg Cemetery, in Cooksburg, PA on Monday, May 8, 2017.
