Donna J Ater

Donna J. Ater, age 87, a life-long resident of West Jefferson passed peacefully with her family surrounding her on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She was born in West Jefferson, OH, graduated from West Jefferson High School, Class of 1950, was a lifetime member of West Jefferson United Methodist Church and retired in 1994 after 30 years of service from Capital Manufacturing. Donna was preceded in death by her parents America and Herbert Allerton, brother Jack Allerton, and brother-in-law Frank Cox. She is survived by her sister Phyllis Cox of West Jefferson, children: Neal (Pam) Ater, Keith (Vicky) Ater, grandchildren: Sara (Jason) Dowdy, Molly (Curt) Halcom, Lindsey (Thomas) Alban, Matthew Ater, Kelley (Brian) Deasey, great-grandchildren: Clara Dowdy, Mason Dowdy, Abigail Halcom, Annabelle Halcom, Samuel Halcom, Elizabeth Halcom, Jack Alban, Sophia Alban, Charles Alban, Henry Alban, and Liam Deasey, nieces: Jennifer Stover and Tracy (Bob) Boyer, cousins: Richard (Ronda) Gillivan and Susan Gillivan, and by her long-time, loving friend & companion Paul Faust and his family. The family will receive friends on MONDAY from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN ST., WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH.
