Eleanora "Jean" Scott

Eleanora "Jean" Scott, age 93, of West Jefferson, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Arbors West Nursing Home in West Jefferson, OH. Born March 10, 1924 in Lilly Chapel, OH to the late Oscar and Kathryn (Gierich) Lawles. Jean was a graduate of Fairfield High School, a lifelong resident of Madison County, and member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lilly Chapel. Preceded in death by her parents; her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Bert Scott; brothers, John, Virgil, William, and Charles; sister, Magdalene. Survived by children, Bob (Kay) Scott, Kathryn (Kevin) Lucas, and David (Dawn) Scott; grandchildren, Kirk (Pam) Scott, Sandi Couch, Richard Lucas, and Hannah Scott; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister-in-law, Blanche Lawless; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Friends may call Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St. in West Jefferson. Pastor Kirk Scott officiating. A private committal service will be held at Dennison Chapel Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Madison County Hospital, Arbors West, and Bella Care Hospice for the excellent care provided to Jean during this difficult time.
