Garnet Mirolo

Garnet Mirolo, 86, took her final journey home peacefully February 16, 2021, at home with family by her side. Garnet was born in Branchland, WV, on March 18, 1934, to Luster V. Slone Sr. and Marie Davis Slone. She worked many years as a waitress at The Circle and Explores Restaurants in Columbus. A 47-year resident of Madison County she loved gardening and family vacations. Proceeded in death by husband Gino J. Mirolo, her parents, sons-in-law James E. Knapp and Dennis R. Oxyer, and several brothers and sisters Survived by children Jackie (Connie), John (Crystal), Patricia Oxyer, Pamela Knapp, Lisa and “special son” Tony Frey. 11grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Brothers David Slone, Bill (Beverly) Slone, and Jerry (Tutti) Slone. Sisters Sharon Flemings and Rhonda Young and Companion Robert Smith. The family wishes to thank the staff of Loving Care Hospice (Union and Madison County offices) for the amazing support and care provided to Garnet over the past 16 months.  The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2021, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, OH, 43162. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Plumwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Garnet be made to: Loving Care Hospice, 55 S. Oak Street, London, OH, 43140.
