Garry Johnston

Garry Johnston, age 72, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born on November 11, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio. He joined the United States Army in October 1969, and served two tours in Vietnam before being honorably discharged in October 1972. Following his time in the Army, Garry worked many years in the manufacturing and transportation industry.

Garry is survived by his daughters Christina (Kevin) Baker, and Kelly (Joshawa) Riley, their mother Nancy Glass, five grandchildren, Ashleigh (Alan) Vieira, Kaitlyn Owen, Ally, Joshawa, and Madison Riley, two great-grandchildren Charlotte and William Vieira, many special friends including Mark Fields, Joe Reuter, and Bo Steel, as well as extended family.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Fayette County for their care during Garry’s final days.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 5-7 P.M., with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162.
