Harvey Thompson

Harvey Denver Thompson, age 87, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He attended London Christian fellowship. Harvey was a contractor with Kessler Construction and retired from Worthington Industries with 35 years of service. He was a member of the West Jefferson American Legion Post 201, where he was very active. 

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Bernice Kathleen Thompson (2017), parents Edgar and Sarah Thompson, brothers William, Graydon, Levi, and Walt, and sisters Mary Lou, Charlotte, and Nora Belle.

Harvey is survived by his daughters: Sheila (Scott) Stevers, Anna (Dave) King II, and Kathy Cordle; sister: Stella Burgess; grandchildren: Amy (Chris) Sockman, Dave (Kathy) King III, Matthew (Haley) Stevers, Kelli (Jeremy) Dean, Stephanie (Brandon Bargeloh) Stevers, Kyle (Tatiana) Cordle, Zachary Cordle, and Cory (Stephanie) Brown; great-grandchildren: Laura (Hayden) Willett, Cole Sockman, Brayden Stevers, Jaxson Dean, Kynlie Stevers, Scarlet Dean, Kae’Lynn King, Hadley Dean, Adeline King, Lillian King, Ezra Dean, Lucas Brown, and Noelle Brown; numerous loving relatives, friends, and a community he loved. 

The family will receive friends on WEDNESDAY, June 26, 2024, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN ST, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162. Funeral Service will be held on THURSDAY, June 27, 2024, at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
