James "Jim" Ray Snell

James (Jim) Ray Snell “JR Eagle” of West Jefferson, Ohio has left this earth on April 10^th, 2020. Born July 14^th, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to Mildred “Petie” (Greer) and George Harold Snell. Jim is survived by his wife Dorreen (Lynch) Snell; Son Jamie Snell, and 2 grand-daughters Hannah and Emma Snell of Plain City, Ohio. Two sisters: Bev Eades (Dan) and Tonya Blain (Jeff); and Brother Dan Snell (Carolyn) of London, Ohio. With numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim has worked with the West Jefferson police department, Franklin Township police department, Choctaw Lake and Madison County Sheriffs Department. Jim is widely known for his love playing and singing music thru various bands thru out the decades, most recently: The Posse.

Due to the Covid-19 (Corona Virus), there will be no funeral or graveside service. We will have a “Celebration of Life” once the world is back to normal and we can have gatherings again.  Arrangements are being handled by the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162.
