James Roger Salyer, age 84, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on January 9, 2021, in Circleville. Jim graduated from West Jefferson High School Class of 1955, he was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1975, retired from Western Electric after 30 years of service, and the OSU Hospital in the I.T. Department. He is preceded in death by his parents Ransom and Lillie Salyer, brothers Jack and Joe Salyer. James is survived by his loving wife Karen of 32 years, children Janet (Jim) Baker, and Jayne Oswalt, step-children David (Sandi) Pezdirtz, Ann Greenwood, Stephen (Paula) Pezdirtz, and Krista Julian, grandchildren Kirby (Sean) Wary, Dan (Meghan) Oswalt, Kyle Baker, Kathryn Oswalt, Kendra Baker, and Korey Baker, great-grandchildren Marleigh, Cambria, Noel, Cade, Teller and Micah, many step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 11-12 Noon, Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson.
