Janet Gail (Harmon) Day, beloved wife, mother, and "Mamaw", passed away on February 20th, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. She had a heart as bold as her favorite cherry apple red—the color of her first car, a 1969 Mustang, which she drove fearlessly into a new chapter of life in Columbus, Ohio from Martin County, Kentucky. A protector at heart, she was a mother to anyone who needed one. She loved deeply, spoke her truth without hesitation, and found joy in dancing, singing karaoke, and her favorite ice cream flavors.

She attended Morehead State University and retired from Discover Card Services in Columbus Ohio in 2008. She was preceded in death by her sisters Emma Sue Butler and Lois Cassady, and her beloved son Benjamin, whom she missed dearly every day.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James Day of Grove City, Ohio; sons Brian Day (Allison) of Canfield, Ohio and James Day (Susan) of Granville, Ohio; grandchildren Kamrie Harvey (Katelyn) of Grove City, Ohio, Shelene, Joseph and Cecelia Day of Granville, Ohio, and Sienna, Greyson, and Stone Day of Canfield, Ohio; sister Diane Them of Mansfield, Ohio, brother Rocky Harmon (Teresa) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews.
