Janet Voss

On Sunday afternoon, January 12, 2025, Janet Sue Voss, 84, of West Jefferson, went to her Heavenly home. Janet was a gentle, sweet woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that will lead them all of their lives. 

Janet was born in Seymour, Indiana, on August 13, 1940, to Ernest and Donna (Young) Reed. She was raised by her father and stepmother Jean Reed and had six siblings. She was married to the late Estal Voss for 62 years and raised three wonderful daughters. Janet was a long-time member of Faith Assembly of God, spent many years enjoying time with her seven grandchildren and occasionally letting them defeat her in a game of Scrabble, one of her favorite pastimes. Her genuine, kind-hearted soul will forever leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband, Estal Voss, her youngest daughter Bettina Buscemi, and her son-in-law Randall Haines. 

She is survived by two daughters and their families; Michele Haines, Tyler (Logan) Haines, Harper, Hadley, Holland, Bryant (Kira) Haines, Susan (Dennis) Gray, Shayna Gray, Leanna (Josh) Hershberger, Naomei, Ryln, D.J. Gray, Jaylen, Marlie, John (Kayti) Buscemi, Kalen, and Annie Buscemi.

Following Janet's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services are scheduled at this time.
