John D. Morgan

John D. Morgan, age 91, of Columbus, passed away on October 20, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1931, in West Jefferson.

John graduated from West Jefferson High School in the class of 1949. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving our Country in Korea. He retired from Sears after many years of service. John enjoyed fishing and repairing sewing machines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma and his son, John C. Morgan.

He is survived by his children, Danny (Sandy) Morgan and Joe (Tracey) Morgan; brother, William (Ann) Morgan; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and best friend, Charlie Harbage.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 11a.m.-1p.m., at the RADER MCDONALD TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, W. Jefferson, 43162, where a funeral service will begin at 1p.m. Inurnment at Pleasant Cemetery in W. Jefferson will take place at a later date.
