John Nance

April 30, 1950 — March 24, 2024

The Lord called His faithful servant, John Nance, 73, home at 5:29pm on, March 24, 2024, at UC Medical
Center. He was born April 30, 1950, in Gallipolis, Ohio son of the late William “Frank” and Rosemary
Nance.

He married Paula Nance on September 27, 1986, in Busseyville, KY and they were married for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Hysell, brother, Robert Nance, and his four-legged son,
Jaxson.

He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan and could also be found cheering for the Ohio State
Buckeyes. When football and baseball weren’t on, spending time in the woods feeding the deer and
turkeys that strolled along the ridge or whipping up some good ole’ down home country cooking were
some of his favorite pastimes. He would have anyone around him in stitches with the quick-witted
sarcastic sense of humor that was truly a trademark of John Nance.

He was a member of the Promised Land Church. One of his favorite things to do was travel and listen to
gospel revivals with his brothers and sisters of the Lord.

John is survived by his wife, Paula Nance of Peebles; daughters, Marianne (Terry) Hartley, Jody (Chris)
Tackett, Heather (John) Beckwith; brother, Keith (Teresa) Nance; Gated Community brothers, Keith
Lainhart, Fred Brandenburg; grandchildren, Kody (Katlynn) Lambert, Dekota Metzler, Remington
Beckwith.

Home. Officiating will be Pastor Truman Johnson. Graveside service will be held at Yatesville Memorial
Gardens Cemetery in Busseyville, KY. Friends may call from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. on Wednesday at the

John will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but he left behind a promise that they all will be
able to see him again someday along those golden streets. Until the day he and Paula can stroll over
Heaven together, his memories will be forever in our hearts.
