June C. Rhoades Cook

June C. Rhoades Cook, “known to everyone as Grandma June”, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 12, 2024. June was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Ruth Marrs, husband Lowell W. Rhoades, sister Angela Will, sister and brother-in-law, Mickey and Olin Blade and brother and sister-in-law Ted and Alice Marrs.

She is survived by her husband Jack; Children: Bill (Merry) Rhoades, Jim (Joyce) Rhoades, Ted (Debbie) Rhoades, and Jenny (Dana) Hale; grandchildren: Josh (Amy) Rhoades, Joe (Jenny) Rhoades, Angie (Terry) Cordle, Aaron (Jackie) Rhoades, Leslie Rhoades, Alicia (Tim) Stewart, and Kim (Nathan) Gunter; step-grandchildren: Ben (Ana) Hale, Alyssa Hale, Tracy Slone, and Tessa Slone; great-grandchildren: Alina, Alec and Asher Rhoades, Gabe and Trinity Rhoades, Allyson, Aimee and Ayden Cordle, Keely June Rhoades, Ethan Gunter, Taylor, Lorelei and Harper Hale, Jordan and Logan Quellette, Zoe and Kenadee Slone; brother-in-law: Bill Will; extended family Bill (Cherri) Cook, Alan (Tammi) Cook, Rick (Julie) Cook, SueAnn (Ric) Munge, special nieces, nephews, and friends.

June loved the Lord and her family. She spent many years teaching a women’s Sunday School class, hosting ladies Bible Studies in her home, helping with Bible School and many other opportunities to serve the Lord. She was known for her pies, Mickey Mouse pancakes, apple cakes, and red velvet birthday cakes. She loved to fish and was known to out catch others in the boat.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 11:00 am- 12 Noon, followed by Funeral Service at Noon, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN ST., WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162. In honor of their mom, June’s sons will be officiating her service. Burial will be at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH.
