Karen L. Gillivan, age 60 of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on Friday, January 11, 2019. Karen was a member of Daughters Of Erin, and she enjoyed sewing, embroidering, reading, fishing, vacationing in the Upper Peninsula, spending time with family and her grandchildren for whom she will miss greatly. She was a very generous person that was known to drop whatever she was doing to help others. Karen took her last breath as she lived her life, giving to others. She gave the most precious gift of all. She gave not only hope, but she also gave others life. Karen's legacy will live on through the lives of others because she choose to be a donor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Perrin "Elmer: and Sylvia Bright, 2 brother-in-laws Michael and Patrick Gillivan. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 40 years James F. Gillivan, daughter Darcia (Jimmy) Sielschott, and son James R. Gillivan, sister Sharon (Richard) Kasper and brother Bob Bright, Grandchildren Ryan, Hunter and Evan Sielschott, 3 sister-in-laws Carolyn Collins, Jo Ann (George) McNamara and Peggy (Tom) Welker, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and Friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 7:30 PM. with Pastor Larry Baker officiating at the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home 1355 W.
