Laura J Clerc-Andres, 65, of West Main St., West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away at home on May 26, 2021, after a very long illness. Laura was born in Kingston, New York on August 29, 1955, and attended Kingston High School. She was the daughter of the late Roland and Margaret (Faass) Clerc. Laura was married to Patrick Andres and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Jodie Barnes of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Laura and her former husband managed the Corner Rest in Port Ewen for several years. In 1989 she moved to South Florida and began beautician school, received her license, and began a career that she was born to do. Laura worked as a hairdresser for many years in Florida and Ohio. Her favorite place of employment was Andros Island as she loved ocean life, her job, and her friends. Laura also enjoyed jewelry making which she liked to display at her house and flea markets. She also loved animals and had several pets over the years. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Craig) Michlewski of Cottekill, NY, and Patricia Zamora of Eustis, Fl. along with three nieces, Emily, Natasha, Lindsey, and one nephew, Nick. Laura has four grandchildren, Anthony, Bradly, Brooke, and Bree. Our family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the team at Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice of Columbus Ohio for providing nurturing and supportive care which enabled Laura to remain in her home as well as her dear friend, Kelly Wolf. At her request, there will not be a service but if you wish to make a donation, it can be sent to the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Drive, Kingston, NY 12401
