Leo Slusher, Jr. arrived on earth in Cincinnati, OH August 10, 1953 and left us on July 19, 2023 in the village where he spent most of his life, West Jefferson, OH. His departure was sudden and due to cardiac arrest. Leo was a hard worker, a musician, an artist, a loyal friend to many people, and in his spare time his love for nature always led him to one of many favorite fishing holes. He loved to read and cook, was an avid Bengals fan, and had a quick wit and great sense of humor.
He was a 1971 graduate of West Jefferson High School and his employment included DSC Logistics, the Columbus Dispatch, Landrum News Agency and Motorists Insurance Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Slusher, Sr. and Joyce Wright Slusher, and his beloved sister, Sharon Slusher Lawles. Survivors include sister Linda (Ray) Studer of Hilliard, OH; Sally Jo Slusher of Chapel Hill, NC; Karen (Sunil) Albert of Worthington, OH and their children Joshua and Sarah. Linda and Ray’s daughters Maren (Anthony) Laguardia and children Johnny and Lucy; Alyssa (Patrick) McArdell and children Mara and Warner; Emily (Jordan) Bell and daughter Cecilia.
Leo enjoyed the simple life, loving nothing more than his friends, family and a tug on the end of his fishing line. A “come as you are” celebration of life will be held on SATURDAY, July 22, 2023, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN ST., WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162
