Marion "Ron" Stevens

Marion “Ron” Stevens, 88, of West Jefferson, OH passed away surrounded by his family on June 10th, 2023.  Ron was born in Wheeling, WV on June 2, 1935 to Marion and Ella (Henderson) Stevens.  He is survived by his sons Greg (Teresa) Stevens and Jim (Jessi) Stevens; his grandchildren Pami (Chaz) Curry, Shelbi (Tyler) Wise, Jami Stevens, Jennifer (Chris) Pannelle and Jenna (Dustin) Sauer; his great grandchildren Cade Thornton, Payton Curry, Cloighi Curry, James Nichols, Annie Curry, Wyatt Wise, Dakota Curry, Carsyn Sauer and twins Austin and Mason Sauer, along with many nieces and nephews.  Ron was preceded in death by his wife Jean Ellen Stevens; his parents; his sister Jean Ellen Cramblett and his twin brother Dr. Robert Lewis Stevens.

Ron was a career inventory analyst for International Harvester.  He was a member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church where he participated in the church choir.  He was a member of the League Against Child Abuse and also the West Jefferson Jaycees, serving as president during his membership with them.  Ron’s passion was painting and art.  He painted, with a high level of skill, many beautiful landscape pictures.  When he wasn’t painting, you might find him mowing the lawn.  But his favorite love was his family.  Family was first all the time.  He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to as many games and events as he could to support them.  He also loved his animals and enjoyed hunting.  He has left a legacy as a one-of-a-kind man and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends for a visitation for Ron at Rader McDonald Tidd Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main St. in West Jefferson, OH on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5-7 PM.  Then Ron’s funeral service will be at the funeral home Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:30 AM.  He will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery following the service.
