Mary Emma Lou (Moore) Matheny, age 91, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Emma Lou was born in Gallipolis Ferry, WV on November 5, 1929, to William Reuben Gardner and Ocie Mae Price. She is survived by children - Linda Lou Williams (Ed), Marblehead, OH; Karen Sue Nibert (Roger), South Bloomfield, OH; William L. Fletcher (Shonda), Grove City, OH; Grandchildren --Michelle (Darryl) Crace, London, OH; Mark (Erica) Nibert, England; Bryan (Stephanie) Nibert, Circleville, OH; William (Lori) Fletcher, Commercial Point, OH; and Kenneth Mounts, Texas; 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Michael Matheny; Norman Moore; Bertie Fletcher; daughter Patricia Ann Alvaredo; granddaughter Angela Colaner; grandson Samuel Patterson, Jr.; brothers - Lester and Charles Ray, and sisters Marguerite and Virginia. She owned and operated Moore’s Bait Shop at Madison Lake for many years. She was loved by everyone who met her and loved doing word search puzzles. She loved having her cookies and coffee in the evening. She was baptized at the Lutheran Church in West Jefferson. A big thank you to Pickaway Manor for taking excellent care of her and also Berger Hospital. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 16, 2021, from 10 am-12 pm, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, OH, 43162. Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation at 12 NOON, with Pastor Faron Tabor officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, OH, with Graveside Services starting at 1:30 pm.
