Mary "Katie" Kathryn Ward

Mary Kathryn “Katie” Ward, age 71, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. Mary “Katie”, was a bus driver for Jefferson Local Schools and also worked as a custodian for many years for the school district. She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Kathryn (Major) Wright, and her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Ward. Mary "Katie" is survived by her children, Chris (Karen) Wright, Libby Carpenter, Jon (Monica) Ward, and Wendy Ward: Brother, Donnie Wright, and sister, Bonnie: Grandchildren, Natasha Wright, Matthew (Brooke) Wright, Timothy (Leeanna) Phipps, Leigha (George) Heater: Great-Grandchildren, Kadynce, Amberlynn, Alison, Alexandria, Serenity, Leland, Karma, Brylee and Brooklyn, several nieces, and nephews, and numerous close friends. A special thank you to the staff at Doctors Hospital for taking such great care of her and the family. The family is planning a celebration of life get together for a later date. Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home assisted the Ward family.
