Michael Mathews

Michael Charles Mathews, age 78, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Mike was a proud U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran serving in Vietnam. Mike worked for Janitrol Aero for 27 years as a machinist and retired from The State of Ohio with 15 years service. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed taking care of his yard, renovating houses and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Michael Mathews and Marian (Fenner) Mathews.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Diana of 55 years; son Mike (Roxsann) Mathews, and daughter Tricia Rayburn; siblings Florence (Dewey) Stokes, Patty Rhen, Ted (Mary Beth) DeMatteo; grandchildren Alyssa Rayburn, Nathan Mathews, Kellen Mathews; numerous loving relatives, and special friends at Tommy’s Diner.

Following Mike's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.
