Nancy Smith

Nancy Lucille Smith, age 74, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly and was welcomed home into her Saviors arms on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Jennie and Marvin Shepherd.

Nancy was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1967. She started her career at the young age of 18 yrs. old working for the State of Ohio until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Grove City, Ohio. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and had a deep hearted love for anything OHIO STATE. She loved all Ohio State sporting events including the women’s basketball, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved to travel and enjoyed going to gospel sings, and to flea markets, but most of all she loved her family most.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Smith, and her sister Sharon K. Schenk who passed away April 30^th of this year.

Nancy is survived by her brother-in-law Steve Smith, and sister-in-law Sandy Smith, nieces and nephews: Kristina Schenk, Brian (Rose) Schenk, Emily Smith, Matt (Cindy) Smith, Deborah (William) Holton; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, all who will miss her beyond measure.

Family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m., FRIDAY, November 17, 2023, at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio, 43462, where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 1:00p.m., with Pastor Robert Tolar officiating the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson, Ohio.
