Paul Lee Cavinee

Paul Lee Cavinee, age 73, passed away on April 15, 2021. He was a member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church, graduate of West Jefferson High School Class of 1965, where he played football on the 1962 State Champion team, member of the West Jefferson Optimist Club, West Jefferson Athletic Boosters, Commissioner of W.J.Y.A.A., coached pee wee football, baseball, and softball. Paul was an avid stock car and drag racing participant and fan. He enjoyed fishing and family poker night. He is preceded in death by parents, Pete and Martha Cavinee; sisters, Sandy Cavinee and Connie Pennington; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Annie Salyer; sister-in-law Brenda Salyer Lightfoot. Paul is survived by his loving wife Judy of 52 years; children, Paul Jason Cavinee, Kacey Lynne Cavinee, and Justin (Angela) Cavinee; siblings, Debbie (Bobby) Archey, and Kim Cavinee; brother-in-law Chip (Karen) Salyer; grandchildren, Jordan, Phil (Amanda), Lillie, Ezekiel, and Asher; brother-in-law Gary Lightfoot, and numerous loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to Heartland Hospice, 116 Morris Road B, Circleville, Ohio, 43113. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M., at the West Jefferson United Methodist Church, 36 South Center Street, West Jefferson, OH, 43162.
