Pogie Murray

Pogie Murray, age 56, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.  Born in Columbus, OH to the late Edward and Doris Murray, Pogie was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1981.  He was a long-time auxiliary member of Clarence "Bo" Casto VFW Post #7005, West Jefferson and was a true and honest friend to all.  In addition to his parents, Pogie was preceded in death by his brother Jeffery Murray, his grandparents Paul & Viola Murray and Tom & Helen Lowe, aunts and uncles:  Juanita & Harvey Price, Richard Murray, Ronald Guyton, Harold Lowe and Herman & Kate Lowe. He is survived by his daughter Ashley Murray and grandsons Travis Wilk and Justin Rogers, all of West Jefferson, sister and brother-in-law Debbie & Gaylord Chaffins of West Jefferson, nieces and nephews: Amy Murray of Hilliard, OH, Bub Murray of Commercial Point, OH, Chris (Beth) Chaffins of West Jefferson and Chad (Carolyn) Chaffins of Grove City, OH, and their families, aunts and uncles: Donna Guyton of Columbus, Connie & Charles Harbage of West Jefferson, Ann Murray of Plain City, OH, Francis & Jenny Murray of West Jefferson and Paul & Bev Murray of West Jefferson, and their families, many cousins and many, dear friends.  Family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00p.m. TUESDAY, JULY 23, 20-19 at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 6:00p.m.  Casual attire is requested, please!  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider making a donation to the Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Please visit www.radermcdonaldtiddfuneralhome.com to share your favorite memory of Pogie or to send your condolences to his family.
