Wayne Robert "Bob" Petty Jr., age 68, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on November 12, 2024. Bob was a proud graduate of Bishop Ready High School, class of 1974. Bob was a hard worker from a young age, starting at his family’s restaurant, Petty’s. He went on to be a fun loving bartender on the Westside of Columbus and eventually, the family opened 2 Rascals Pub. Bob also went on to work at UPS until retirement. On all occasions, he made wonderful and lasting friendships. He was bigger than life.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Wayne Robert Petty and Maria Louise DiGioia, his son Jordan Ryan Doyle, and nephew Chris Whitner.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Terri Petty, sister Mary Ann (Scott) Hartzel, and his children Brian (Luisa) Holley, Brett (Brittney) Holley, Brandon Holley, and Breanna (Shane) Preece, Ashley Bell, Kody Bell, and Allyson (Nathaniel) Abendshien. Bob is also survived by many grandchildren including Gavin, Claire, Julia, Banks, Martina, and Daniel Holley, Ellie and Emmitt Preece, Shadevion Doyle, Madeleine Malone, Julian Orewiler, August Abendshien, and beloved cousins.
Bob embraced life with humor and a warm heart. He was known for his Italian cooking, his love for fishing and travel, and his passion for motorcycles, NASCAR, and the Cleveland Browns. He loved to entertain his friends and family with funny stories and good food. He found joy in ensuring that everyone had a good time. Bob also loved his Yorkies. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
