Roger Lee Crum, 82, of West Jefferson, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Doctors West Hospital.
Roger was born in Crum, West Virginia, the son of Charles and Memphra. He served in the Ohio National Guard. Roger loved to collect Roseville pottery, gardening, tending to the flowers, and spending time at his second home in Florida where he had many friends and family. Roger was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Rish Equipment Company and had previously been employed at Big Bear where he met his wife of 56 1/2 years, Carol. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Roger is survived by sons Ronald(Linda), Doug, and Daniel, and one daughter Christie (Bill) Toops; grandchildren Joshua Crum, Brandon (Layne)Toops, Bradley (Ashley)Toops, Jason Crum, and Daniele Crum; great-grandchildren Karmyn, Addyson, Makayla, Rylan, Marleigh, and Madison. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son James, brother Charles, sisters Janice, Wanda, Patty, Cynthia, and Mary Rose. A memorial service will be held June 30, 2019, with visitation from 2-4 and a Celebration of Life at 4 at the Rader- McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home in West Jefferson. Officiating will be done by Pastor Larry Baker.
