Ruth Lucille Pelphrey

Ruth Lucille Pelphrey went home to her Lord on June 3, 2023, after a long,
full life of ninety-six years. A loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister to
her family. An active woman who worked after graduation and turned her
high school bookkeeping classes into a continuous accounting career until
retirement. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, home projects, visiting family
and friends and travel, Her Christian faith was known by all: family,
relatives, friends, co-workers and fellow church members of First Baptist
Church of West Jefferson, Ohio.

Born to parents Alva and Irma Riley on September 15, 1926, in South
Solon, Ohio, and raised on the family farm. She married Elmer Pelphrey in
1947 and they enjoyed 64 years together. Elmer and Lucille raised two
sons, Terry and Tom in West Jefferson, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a
brother. Lucille is survived by sons Terry and wife Rose of Florida; Tom
and wife Cindy of Kentucky; (10) grandchildren; (9) great-grandchildren;
and (4) great, great grandchildren: a brother: and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Rader-
McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson, at 11:00am with burial
following in Hampton Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, June
12, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
