Ruth Lee (Hibbler) Slaughter, age 89, joined her loved ones in Heaven for a glorious reunion on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Ruth was born June 2, 1931, in Blacklick, OH, to Kenneth and Margie (Harrison) Fairall. Ruth was a member of Hide-A-Way Hills since 1963, she was employed at Lazarus in downtown Columbus, North American Rockwell, and she retired from Sears HR Department. Ruth was a self-taught artist since childhood, her paintings were admired by everyone due to the beauty of her work, her paintings have been proudly displayed throughout galleries in Ohio, The Columbus Zoo, and also The Villages in Florida. She loved to dance and play bridge with her friends. Ruth was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and also a cancer survivor. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Margie, and her loving husband John Slaughter. She is survived by her son’s Charles (Elaine) Hibbler, Joseph (Connie) Hibbler, and daughter Carolyn “Jayne” Powell (Kenny Cashdollar), 5 grandchildren Brian (Tonya) Easter, Jadi Hibbler, Charles "Chase" Hibbler III, Cory Hibbler, Tarah Hibbler (Tim Flinn), 2 great-grandchildren Zachary Easter, and Mason Flinn, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends in both Ohio and Florida. She will be missed dearly because she was loved by everyone. Family and close friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service, to be held at Union Grove Cemetery, 400 Winchester-Cemetery Rd, Canal Winchester, OH, 43110, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11:30 am.
