Sharon E. Van Dyke

Sharon E. Van Dyke, age 73, of London, Ohio, passed away at Kobacker House in Columbus, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.  Born in Mt. Pleasant, PA to Marcellene and the late George Garland, Sharon was a graduate of Belle Vernon (PA) High School, Class of 1967.  She married James Van Dyke on February 4, 1970 and together they raised their family in London.  Sharon retired in 2010 from Smith Medical-Medex after 23 years of dedicated service.  In addition to her father, Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Van Dyke who passed in 2004, and her brothers Jesse Garland and Barry Garland.

Sharon is survived by her mother Marcellene Garland, her children Bill (Kim) Van Dyke, Jim (Stephanie) Van Dyke and David (Heather) Van Dyke, her grandchildren Malysha (Dallus) Smith, Courtney Wood, Zachary Legg, Dustin (Kaylee) Van Dyke, Nathan (Rebecca) Van Dyke, Jaden Gregory and Alex Wood, her great-grandchildren Layla, Sophia, Wren, Ella, Kristabelle and Lilly, her brothers George Garland and Robert “Bob” Garland, sisters-in-law Lorie Garland and Wilma (Edward) Braddish, brother-in-law Rick Van Dyke, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will welcome friends from 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. SUNDAY at the RADER-MCDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main Street, West Jefferson, OH 43162 (614)-879-9222 and again from 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m. on MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 2023 where her Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 NOON, MONDAY with Reverend Phil Conrad, officiating.  Burial will follow at Plumwood Cemetery, Plumwood, OH.
