Sheila Fay Nelson

Sheila F. Nelson, age 71, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1968, and was known for her passion for being a “WJ Roughrider” through and through, she loved participating in all community events and benefits for others to show her support and love, a proud parishioner of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, past member of the West Jefferson Village Council, member of the London Lions Club, retired from Boehringer Ingelheim (Roxane Labs) after 25 years plus, served on the West Jefferson Alumni Association for 12 years, she was a proud grandmother that enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports and attended as many games as possible, member of Prom Mother’s Society, but her proudest moments in life was being a wife, mom, grandma, and friend. Sheila will be deeply missed by all her friends, and family, and the entire community of West Jefferson.

She is preceded in death by her previous husband: Rick Campbell, parents: Herb and Kathleen (Norris) Harbage, and sister: Pam Wanek. Sheila is survived by her loving husband: Charles “Skeeter” Nelson, children: Chris (Beth) Campbell, and Erika (Brian) Ciborek, grandchildren: Brittany, Zachary, and Kennedy Campbell, Hunter and Avery Ciborek, Kaiden, Joey, and Molly Nelson, great-grandchildren: Maverick Campbell.

The family will welcome friends Friday, July 23, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162.

 Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Dwayne A. McNew, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, OH, 43162. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH.
