Shirley Gross

Shirley Jean Gross (Suttles), age 81, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018. Preceded in death by parents Charles Marion and Edith Louise Suttles (Head), husband Ronald Lee Gross, brother Russell Suttles. Survived by daughters Susan Lynn (Gene) White and Sandra Louise (Mark) Jacobs, sister Barbara (Eddie) Kelley, brother Charles (Betty) Suttles, grandchildren Sandra Nicole (Brandin) Pressnell, Emily Erin (Adam) Holbrook, Andrew Charles (Kristin) White, Alison Jacobs, and Alyssa Jacobs. Great-grandchildren Claire Flora Pressnell, Nolan Eugene Pressnell, Arthur Lee Pressnell, Henry Gavin Holbrook, and Violet Grace Holbrook. Shirley grew up in Columbus, graduating from Central High School. She married Ronald Lee Gross in 1959. Together, they raised 2 children, Susan and Sandra. Shirley and Ronnie greatly enjoyed the company of family. Shirley spent her married life in West Jefferson as a homemaker. She enjoyed going shopping and going on trips with friends and family. Special thanks to staff at Sisters on Elm in London and Loving Care Hospice for their kindness and care during Shirley's last months. Family will receive friends 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 1355 W. MAIN ST., WEST JEFFERSON, OH 43162. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home 11:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2018. Pastor Doug Worley will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider a memorial contribution be made to Loving Care Hospice 56 S. Oak St., London, OH 43140 in Shirley's name.
