Terry L. Mitchell

Terry L. Mitchell, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 22, 2024, in West Jefferson, Ohio. He was born on February 5, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio to David and Claudia Mitchell. 

He was a 1971 graduate of Westland High School in Columbus. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Mitchell, on the beautiful fall day of October 16, 1985. Terry began his career as a conductor with Conrail in 1973. He completed his railroad career as a locomotive engineer in 2013. Terry also worked at General Electric in Worthington, Ohio. Terry never knew a stranger. He was generous to a fault and was always concerned for others. He had an extraordinary love and compassion for his pets, Tiger, Maggie, Yo-yo and Dottie. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Charlotte; son Derek (Meghan) Mitchell, grandchildren Nadalin and Paxton Mitchell; and brother Rob (Rachel) Mitchell, and nieces Monique Glover, and MacKenna Mitchell. 

A celebration of life church service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Harvest Assembly of God Church, 8075 Dellinger Rd., Galloway, Ohio 43119. Visitation starts at 2:00 pm with the service at 2:30 pm. with Pastor Chris Tomaso officiating along with Pastor Jerry Poff.
