William M Boyd Jr.

William McKinley Boyd Jr., 69 of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 13, 1952, to the late William M. and Mildred L.  Boyd. He was the 4^th born of 6 children.

He is preceded in death by his sister Rosemary Crabtree, special brother-in-law Tommy Shawver, mother and father-in-laws Charles W., and Rita Baxter.

Bill was a retired sheet metal worker Local 24-98. He was a longtime member of Moose Lodge of Hilliard, and the Eagles of Buckeye Lake. Bill liked to cook and he was good at it. His family really enjoyed the great taste. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, Nascar racing, and Ohio State Buckeyes Football. Bill’s true love was his family although especially camping on their land in Jackson and all the great holidays which he cooked for!

Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 53 years Karen Baxter Boyd; 3 children, Karen Sue, William and Amy (Ryan) Boyd, Brian (Andrena) Boyd. 8 grandchildren Danielle and Jacob Pearson, McKinley, TJ, Morgan, Mallory, Addisen, and Ashlyn Boyd; numerous loving wonderful sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews; special friends Terry and Anita Williams, and Rick and Jesse Runyon.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon – 2:00 P.M. for visitation on Friday, May 13, 2022. Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 P.M., at the RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. MAIN STREET, WEST JEFFERSON, OH, 43162.
