William A. Randall, age 84, of West Jefferson, Ohio, met his Savior on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Arbors West Care Center. Born in Sioux City, IA to the late Addison and Irene Randall, Bill was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Kroger Co. in 1994 after 25 years of service. Bill was a faithful member and ordained Deacon of Hilliard First Baptist Church and later attended Prospect Baptist Church and presently the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson. Bill portrayed “Willie the Clown” for many years, performing in many places and loved to make people smile. A firm believer in Christ, he enjoyed visiting and witnessing to others. He received a Service Above Self Award from the London Rotary for his many hours of volunteering and helping the less fortunate. Bill loved music, was a member of his church choir and wrote poetry and short stories. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his six brothers. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Randall; his children: Jeff (Jody) Randall of Westerville, OH, Jill (Ron) Skaggs of Hilliard, OH and Joe (Alani) Randall of Columbus; his 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Phillips of Pueblo, CO and Betty Rice of Sioux City, IA; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2018 at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF WEST JEFFERSON, 686 West Jefferson-Kiousville Road, West Jefferson, OH 43162 where his Memorial Service will follow the visitation and begin at 2:00p.m. SATURDAY with Pastor Darrel Schick, officiating. Private family burial will be held later at Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson.
